VANCOUVER, BC - Five Vancouver Rise FC Academy players have been called up for Canada Women’s Under-17 team for the upcoming 2025 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup in Morocco. Bridget Mutipula, Chloe Taylor, Daniela Feria-Astrada, Lacey Kindel, and Kylie Sandulak will all be representing their country for this prestigious tournament.

The 2025 FIFA U-17 World Cup will be the ninth edition of the FIFA U-17 World Cup, and the 8th time that Canada will participate. Canada qualified after coming third in the 2025 Concacaf Women’s U-17 Qualifiers this past April, and will play in Group D, facing France, Nigeria and Samoa. Canada will first face Nigeria on October 19 at 8pm WEST (12pm PT), then battle Samoa on October 22 at 5pm WEST (9am PT) before finishing the group stage against France on October 25th at 5pm WEST (9am PT).

Bridget Mutipula, 17, has already made six appearances and registered 378 minutes for the Canada’s U-17’s, featuring in both of those matches against Panama and Nicaragua earlier this year, as well as in Team Canada’s matches against Puerto Rico, Mexico, Haiti and the United States in 2024. The centre-back has already played five games for Rise FC’s senior team this season, impressing fans and staff alike after a solid pro debut on August 9th against Halifax Tides FC. Mutipula also played 12 games for Rise FC Academy in League1 BC this season, registering three goals, four assists and six clean sheets.

Chloe Taylor, 17, made one appearance for Canada’s U-17’s, playing a full 90 minutes in the Concacaf Women's Under-17 qualifier match against Panama in April. The versatile midfielder has played nine games for Rise FC Academy in League1 BC, registering two goals and four assists. The North Vancouver native has also featured for Rise FC’s first team this season, playing in three matches and making a powerful impact in her first pro stint.

Daniela Feria-Astrada, 16, will be called up to international duty for the first time in her young career for this upcoming tournament. The forward played 10 matches for Rise FC Academy in League1 BC this season, registering two goals and three assists.

Lacey Kindel, 16, has featured twice for Canada’s U-17’s, playing in the Concacaf Women’s Under-17 qualifiers this past April, including matches against Panama and Nicaragua where she played for 66 and 74 minutes, respectively. The attacking midfielder has played 13 games for Rise FC Academy in League1 BC, scoring four goals and registering seven assists.

Kylie Sandulak, 17, has been called up once to Canada’s U-17’s team, being a part of the Canada team that participated in the MIMA Cup this past winter, facing teams like England, Scotland and Sweden. She comes into this tournament after recovering from a long-term injury that kept her out of the entirety of the 2025 League1 BC season.
