VANCOUVER, BC (March 3, 2025) - Vancouver Rise FC announced today that forward Maithé López has joined up with Colombia’s Women’s National Team for their final two games of the 2026 SheBelieves Cup.

López, 19, is answering her second call-up to the senior national team, after participating as a training player for the 2025 SheBelieves Cup. She has made 30 appearances for the youth national teams, scoring eight goals and registering five assists. López was previously participating in the 2026 South American Under-20 Women's Football Championship with Colombia, scoring twice as she helped Colombia qualify for the 2026 FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup.

Hosted in the United States, the SheBelieves Cup is an annual invitational round-robin tournament that began in 2016. This will be Colombia’s second time competing in the SheBelieves Cup, where they will be testing themselves against fellow CONMEBOL rival Argentina and Concacaf opponents Canada and the USA. They finished third in their debut participation in last year’s edition.

Colombia opened the tournament on March 1 against Canada, losing 4-1. They will now face continental rivals Argentina on March 4 at ScottsMiracle-Gro Field, Columbus, Ohio at 12:30pm PT / 3:30pm ET. Colombia will close their tournament battling hosts USA on March 7 at Sports Illustrated Stadium, Harrison, New Jersey at 12:30pm PT / 3:30pm ET. The tournament winner will be determined by the team with the most points after three matches.
