RUBBER MATCH
This will be the third and final match between the two sides in Quebec this year. The Roses took the first match early in the season, winning 4-0 on May 2. But Rise FC came back in strong form on on May 30 and won a thrilling match 3-2. They will be looking to duplicate that performance with another important three points.
OUTSTANDING OULARBI
Speaking of Quebec, one Rise FC player who has been showing strong development this season is Montreal’s own Anaïs Oularbi. The 23-year-old added a second goal on Sunday with a sublime free kick against AFC Toronto. Now, she will be looking to add to her total as she returns to play in front of family and friends at home.
THE LONG AND WINDING ROAD
Saturday marks the first of three straight matches away from home for Rise FC, with the next home match at Swangard Stadium not until July 25 against Halifax Tides FC. That may suit this Vancouver side, who have become road warriors with seven of their 10 points coming on the road this season.
