VANCOUVER, BC - Vancouver Rise FC are on the verge of a historic moment, as they face AFC Toronto in the inaugural 2025 NSL Final, presented by Toyota. 

DIAMONDS UNDER PRESSURE: Rise FC demonstrated exactly what they were made of after last week’s playoff semi-final second leg. Despite going down earlier in the match, Rise FC showcased their courage and unity in the closing stages and were rewarded with an aggregate equalizer through Holly Ward in the 85th minute. That goal sent the match to extra-time, where Rise FC stood strong for the whole 30 minutes. In the end, the match went to penalties, where once again the team steeled their nerves and got the job done. Morgan McAslan made two huge saves to set up Sofia Hagman with the winning penalty.  

That performance will be great motivation for Rise FC as they head into the NSL Final as one of the league’s first-ever finalists. 
 
EAST VS WEST FINAL: Rise FC have one more game to win before they crown themselves the 2025 NSL Playoff Champions, but they will have a very tough opponent standing in their way in AFC Toronto. The East coast team will have the home-field advantage and plenty of momentum after their 6-1 aggregate win over Montreal Roses FC in the semi-finals, but history has shown that matches between these two sides can go either way. With an equal record of two wins, two losses and a draw between them, there is no telling how Saturday’s match may unfold.  

It’ll come down to whichever team will want it more, meaning Rise FC will have to show Toronto why they’re stronger by nature! 

THE 2025 NSL PLAYOFF FINAL: Rise FC are heading into a star-studded final on Saturday. After months of play and weeks of preparation, the stage is set for two of the league’s strongest teams to write their name in history. All the hard work of the long season comes down to this single game!
