VANCOUVER, BC - Vancouver Rise FC (9W-6L-5D) are back at Swangard Stadium this week, hosting Ottawa Rapid FC (8W-6L-6D) with a chance to clinch their very first playoff spot.  

GETTING BACK ON TRACK: Rise FC is looking to move on from their defeat last weekend by getting back to winning ways against Ottawa Rapid FC. Currently just one point behind Rapid FC who are in second but with one less game played, Rise FC will want to take this opportunity to climb back up the table. Rise FC will be looking to stay focused for the whole match, given the past couple games against Rapid FC have been all about last minute goals. In their last matchup, Rise FC scored a last-minute winner through a brilliant Samantha Chang free kick in a thrilling 3-2 win at TD Stadium in Ottawa. Meanwhile, when Rapid FC last visited Swangard Stadium, it was the Ottawa side that stole a point in the closing seconds in a 3-3 draw.   

 With 11 goals scored in their two matches and a playoff spot on the line, Saturday’s match will surely be packed with action! 

PLAYOFFS IN SIGHT: Rise FC are ever-so-close to sealing their place in the inaugural Northern Super League Playoffs, presented by Toyota. Fifth place Calgary Wild FC’s loss to Ottawa Rapid FC in the mid-week opened up the opportunity for Rise FC to clinch, as they have five games yet to play and a 12-point lead over fifth place Wild FC who have played an extra game. All Rise FC need to do is get either a win or a draw against Rapid FC to make it mathematically impossible for either Wild FC or Halifax Tides FC to catch up to them. Should they get that right result, Rise FC would become the fourth side to clinch playoffs after AFC Toronto, Ottawa Rapid FC and Montréal Roses FC clinched earlier in the week. 

The stakes are high, and the demands are set, so Rise FC fans will need to bring everything they have to help Rise FC reach yet another milestone in this historic first season.
