KEEPING THE GOOD TIMES ROLLING!: Vancouver Rise FC has been in great form in the last couple of weeks, getting two massive back-to-back wins to return to playoff contention. Last Thursday’s comeback win over league leader, AFC Toronto showcased some of Rise FC’s best attributes, including resilience, grit and determination to get the win over a bitter rival. Samantha Chang was the star of the show, scoring twice to get her first two goals for Rise FC.
Now against Ottawa Rapid FC, Rise FC will need to channel that same energy into this weekend’s match to continue their rise up the table!
MORE THAN LEVELING THE SCORE: This weekend’s match won’t just be an opportunity to turn the tables on Rapid FC after their 3-0 win over Rise FC earlier this season. It will also be a chance for Rise FC to get some ground on a direct rival above them in the table, as Rapid FC sit just two points above Rise FC with a game in hand, opening the door for Rise FC to jump them in the standings.
And this time around, Rise FC will have the home-field advantage with thousands of their fans in the stands and plenty of confidence to give them the best chance for some good old-fashioned redemption on Saturday.
SHOWCASING THAT VANCOUVER PRIDE: Saturday's match will be Rise FC’s first-ever Pride Match at Swangard Stadium. The event will be filled with Pride-themed events, including a drag performance and meet-and-greet from Canada’s Drag Race winner Venus, Pride-inspired food items like rainbow popcorn, grilled cheese, and Crema ice cream and even exclusive Pride x Rise FC merchandise!
There is no better place to celebrate love and inclusivity both on and off the pitch than at Swangard Stadium this Saturday! Get your tickets today!
