VANCOUVER, BC - Vancouver Rise FC (9W-7L-5D) are back on the plane, traveling East to face Halifax Tides FC (3W-5L-13D) in the first of four straight road games to close out the 2025 Northern Super League regular season.
A ROAD TRIP FINISH: With their last home game of the season wrapped up, Rise FC now face a four-match journey that will define their year. It starts this weekend against Halifax Tides FC, before the team comes home for a short training break. From there, it’s a quick turnaround with a double gameweek against Ottawa Rapid FC and Montreal Roses FC, capped off by a regular season finale in Calgary against Calgary Wild FC.
Every stop on this trip matters. These matches will decide if Rise FC makes the playoffs and just how high they’ll finish heading into the postseason fight.
KEEPING IT UNBEATEN: Rise FC are unbeaten against Halifax Tides FC and will be looking to protect that streak. Across their four meetings, Vancouver have outscored the Tides 9–1, including that unforgettable 6–0 win back in July. That result ignited Rise FC’s eight-match unbeaten run and reminded the league what this team is capable of.
Now, returning to the same venue, Rise FC will aim to summon that same energy. With a playoff spot nearly within reach, three points in Halifax would be the perfect springboard into the season’s final stretch.
PLAYOFF TICKET ON THE LINE: The playoff picture is finally coming into focus, and Rise FC are right on the edge of clinching their spot in the first-ever NSL Playoffs presented by Toyota. The math is simple: if Calgary Wild FC drop points against Montreal Roses FC, Rise FC are in. If Calgary wins, Rise FC just needs a draw in Halifax against Tides FC to seal the deal.
Both matches take place on Saturday, making for an exciting afternoon of soccer. By the end of the day, Rise FC could officially secure their postseason ticket and with it, a chance to chase history in the league’s inaugural playoffs.
