VANCOUVER, BC - Vancouver Rise FC (10W-7L-6D) finishes its two-game road trip out East with a quick-turnaround clash against Montréal Roses FC this weekend, in a match that could have major playoff implications.

BACK ON TRACK: Rise FC is coming off a huge road victory over Ottawa Rapid FC heading into this weekend’s game. After three matches without a win, the team delivered a stellar 2-0 performance to get back to form. Jessica De Filippo was the star of the show, scoring a cracking headed goal and providing an assist for her childhood friend Latifah Abdu. Now, the pair return to their roots as Rise FC travels to face Montréal Roses FC for their final regular-season matchup. The defence will look to build on Wednesday’s strong clean-sheet performance to ensure the team comes away with a solid result.

CLOSING THE SERIES: Rise FC will need to be locked in as Montréal Roses FC will be looking for redemption after their last meeting in August. In that match, Rise FC came back from a 1-0 deficit early on to win 2-1 thanks to first-half goals from Lisa Pechersky and Holly Ward and a defensively sturdy second half. It was the first time this season that Rise FC defeated Roses FC, and they will be looking to make it back-to-back victories on Saturday in Montréal.

With the Roses a potential playoff opponent, it’s all the more crucial that Rise FC delivers a complete performance this weekend.

THE TABLE TIGHTENS: Rise FC is in the thick of an intense battle for playoff positioning after Wednesday's win. Thanks to the 2-0 road win against Ottawa, Rise FC, Rapid FC, and Montréal Roses FC are all level on 36 points. Rapid FC has played 24 games, while Roses FC and Rise FC remain on 23, with their second-to-last match being played against one another. This means the winner on Saturday will head into the final matchday with a crucial edge in the race for second place.

With a favourable playoff draw on the line, Rise FC will need to be at the top of its game for one of the most important matches of the season.
