VANCOUVER, BC  Thursday night saw Vancouver Rise FC Academy clinch the 2026 British Columbia Premier League (BCPL) title after defeating TSS Rovers 2-0 at Swangard Stadium.

"It has been incredibly rewarding to watch such a young group compete with consistency and maturity at a high level throughout the season,” said Rise FC Academy interim head coach Esteban Mora. “I hope the experiences they’ve gained through this team, and this league, provide a strong foundation for long, successful careers in the game. Winning the championship at Swangard Stadium made the moment even more special, and hopefully it’s the first of many opportunities for these players.”

Canada U-17 international Lacey Kindel scored inside 120 seconds to put Rise FC Academy ahead, before finishing it off with her second in the 85th minute to seal the title.

This is the first BCPL title under the Rise FC banner, and fourth overall including previous titles as Vancouver Whitecaps FC Girls Elite (2022, 2023, 2024). Rise FC Academy secured the title with one match to spare, topping the table on 36 points after 13 matches played, winning 12 matches and losing just one as they sit five points ahead of second place Altitude FC Women.

Rise FC Academy were dominant across the season, scoring 37 goals and conceding only seven. 17-year-old Brooklyn Boldt, another Canadian youth international, finished as the league’s top scorer with an impressive 13 goals in 12 matches played.

The BCPL is the province of British Columbia’s Pro-Am, standards-based, soccer competition, launched in 2022 and part of the Premier Soccer Leagues Canada (PSLC). Rise FC Academy play in the Women’s Division, with the top team in the regular season awarded the championship.
