VANCOUVER, BC (April 6, 2026) - Vancouver Rise FC forward Maithé Lopéz has been called up to Colombia for their upcoming CONMEBOL Women’s Nations League matches.  

Colombia will be coming up against Venezuela, Chile and Argentina, with the tournament serving as a qualifier for the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup. Colombia open the tournament against Venezuela on Friday, April 10 at 6pm PT at Estadio Olímpico Pascual Guerrero, Cali, Colombia. They then battle Chile on Tuesday, April 14 at 6pm PT at Estadio Olímpico Pascual Guerrero, before finishing up against Argentina on Saturday, April 18 at 4pm PT at Estadio Ciudad de Lanús, Lanús, Argentina.  

Maithé Lopéz, 19, is answering her third call up for the Colombian senior national team, after playing in this year’s edition of the SheBelieves Cup. Lopéz made her debut in Colombia’s second match against Argentina before getting her first senior start against the United States in her nation’s final group stage match. She has made 30 appearances for the youth national teams, scoring eight goals and registering five assists.
