Rebecca Lake is a 26-year-old New Zealand international defender who joins Vancouver Rise FC from A-League side Wellington Phoenix FC, where she served as vice-captain. An experienced and commanding center-back, Lake brings strong leadership qualities and a winning mindset, having previously captained Canterbury United Pride to a historic three-peat championship in her home country. She has represented New Zealand at multiple youth FIFA World Cups and received a senior national team call-up in 2023. A proven leader with a positive, ball-playing presence, Lake adds valuable depth and experience to Vancouver’s defensive line.
