Cowart brings global experience to Rise FC after stints in Australia (Perth Glory), Sweden (IFK Kalmar), Serbia (Spartak Subotica), and Turkey (Çaykur Rizespor). A 2022 WPSL champion with California Storm, she started every league match for Perth Glory in 2023–24, ranking among the A-League’s top passers. The defensive midfielder starred at the University of Washington (2016–19), earning Husky Invitational MVP honors and an NCAA Tournament appearance. Internationally, Cowart represents the Philippines, debuting in 2022 and winning the AFF Women’s Championship that year. She started all three matches at the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup, including the historic upset over New Zealand, and has scored twice for her country.
